Hapag-Lloyd informs about implementation of emergency surcharge at Dakar, Senegal

We would like to inform you about heavy delays at the port of Dakar, Senegal due to renovation works on the terminal premises.

In a continued effort to provide you with an uninterrupted liner services and to cater for associated additional measure to safeguard schedule integrity, Hapag-Lloyd will implement an Emergency Surcharge (EMS) for all container types from Asia, Middle East and India to Dakar, Senegal.

Effective as of October 7, 2017 and valid until further notice the EMS will be as follows:

  • USD 150 per TEU

In a continued effort to provide you with an uninterrupted liner services and to cater for associated additional measure to safeguard schedule integrity, Hapag-Lloyd will implement an Emergency Surcharge (EMS) for all container types from North Europe and Mediterranean to Dakar, Senegal.

Effective for sailings as of October 7, 2017 and valid until further notice the EMS will be as follows:

  • EUR 125 per TEU

The Ocean Tariff rates as well as Bunker-related surcharges, Security-related surcharges, Terminal Handling Charges (THCs) remain unchanged respectively as announced and can be found here.

Other local charges and contingency surcharges may apply in addition.
